Meet Francis Gutierrez, Owner of The Vision Hive

I first began noticing my gifts as early as 8 years old, though some were overwhelming and even frightening at the time. My true spiritual awakening came in February 2009, when I walked into the rooms of AA. There, I began a deep relationship with a power greater than myself—a connection I have maintained ever since. Remaining clean and sober has strengthened my spiritual journey and deepened my ability to navigate my gifts with clarity and purpose.

I’ve learned that my darkness, my shadows, and the challenges that once felt heavy were actually preparing me to serve others. They became fuel for my path as a healer, energy worker, witch, mother, high-vibrational human, and curandera. Today, I embrace those titles fully, because they reflect exactly who I am.

My goal is to connect with other like-minded souls, as well as those who are simply curious. I offer magic- and Reiki-infused products, services, and body jewelry—tools to help you integrate healing and self-love into your everyday life.

Waistbeads + Energy + Divination + Reiki

Waist beads are a beautiful tradition dating back to ancient Greece and Egypt, where they symbolized beauty, status, and power. Over time, their use spread to the Yoruba tribe, where they took on spiritual purposes.

I discovered waist beads about 8 years ago. I was immediately captivated by the colors and how they enhanced the tone of my skin, emphasized my curves, and helped me reconnect with my own beauty and femininity. That moment sparked something powerful in me, and I dove into research to learn everything I could.

Because waist beads are not part of my own heritage—I am Mexican and Native American (Karankawa Tribe)—it was important to me to approach them with deep respect and cultural understanding. I explored the many ways to create them—learning about stringing techniques, color meanings, materials, beads, crystals, charms, and the spiritual purposes behind each choice.

For two years, I made waist beads for my daughters, coworkers, and myself before offering them to my community.

How I Create and Customize

When creating a piece, I begin by channeling the client or the energy that comes through for them. Sometimes I use divination tools to help align with the transformation they are seeking. I may also sense which areas of their energy field need extra support.

The process is similar to preparing for a healing session or tarot reading. I infuse the beads with Reiki and other ritual work, creating a deeply personalized and energetically charged item. When I connect with a client’s energy, I can often feel where it’s dense or where it needs a loving boost. At times, their guides or protectors come forward, offering insight that shapes the final piece.

Connecting to Your Beauty & Femininity

Waist beads have made a powerful impact in my community. Clients share how they’ve helped them break free from limiting beliefs about their bodies and self-worth. They’ve become a form of glamour magic—although that was never my original intention—that encourages self-love and confidence.
