Endings & Beginnings

Tomorrow is the new moon, and with it comes the energy & symbolism of ending & beginning. As we draw near to the end of another calendar year, there is no better time to pause, observe our place, and prepare for the next phase.

You have access to every eternal truth woven within your own beautiful soul! Loves, I encourage you to take some time today to reflect on where you are in the cycle of change. Observe. Honor your place, without judgement.

There is a continuous series of beginnings and endings for every life. Though there is often pain and sadness associated with endings, it is important to remember that they are neither good nor bad; they are simply part of the journey, and we are allowed to feel them fully.

Go within and befriend your feelings- they are powerful messengers from your deep inner wisdom. They are not meant to shame you or cause any harm; their purpose is to teach and enlighten. What guidance are they offering to you?  What steps do you need to take next to more wholly embrace the life you want to live?

The Thirty-First Blessing: I am Complete

Blessing #31

In launching The Blessings Butterfly, I initially set out to write a simple book of affirmations, meditations, blessings and encouragements that would express to the people I love the most just how much they mean to me. I chose words and thoughts and themes that would empower the handful of people I had hoped would read it. Beautifully, in the process, I came to discover a new sense of love and acceptance and joy and freedom within myself. The blessings became circular, as they poured out of my heart and flowed over me and came back to me, in a perfect loop. Each Mantra unlocked a profound healing lesson as I explored layers within myself that were still carrying wounds, scars, and brokenness.

This is the culmination of all the blessings, and in reading them together, out loud, I feel a sense of empowerment knowing that I am complete.

I AM LOVED. I AM GRATEFUL. I AM STRONG.
I AM A GOOD PERSON. I AM HEALTHY & I AM WHOLE.
I AM KIND TO MYSELF. I AM PATIENT. I AM GENEROUS.
I AM FUN. I AM ADVENTUROUS. I BELIEVE IN MYSELF.
I AM TRULY BEAUTIFUL. I AM WORTHY & DESERVING OF GOOD THINGS.
I CHOOSE JOY. I AM COMPASSIONATE. I AM WISE. I AM POWERFUL.
I FORGIVE YOU. I MAKE AMENDS.
I CREATE GREAT MEMORIES. I AM CREATIVE.
I SEE BEAUTY ALL AROUND ME.
I AM SAFE & SECURE. I AM COURAGEOUS.
I AM GOOD AT WHAT I DO. I AM ALWAYS LEARNING.
I AM SUCCESSFUL.
I AM WEALTHY.
I AM HONEST.
I AM FREE.

When I work 1:1 with my private clients, these are the lessons that we address together. This is the framework for my holistic healing work, and my offering to the world.

The Sixteenth Blessing: Wisdom

Blessing #16: I am Wise

“He who knows all the answers has not been asked all the questions.” ~Confucius

What is Wisdom? It is in knowing that I don’t know everything. It is in being open to and embracing change, instead of resisting it. It is in listening, not just hearing. It is in understanding, not just learning. It is in making mistakes and learning from them, not repeating them and expecting a different outcome.

“We don’t receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us.” ~Marcel Proust

When knowledge, experience, and good judgement come together, wisdom is formed. We can share our knowledge, and we can communicate our experiences, but we cannot transfer our wisdom. It is a gift that we cultivate within ourselves over many years.

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” ~Aristotle

Fun Fact: When I wrote my book The Blessings Butterfly, I missed a typo on this very section. Totally published it. Just caught the mistake when I was preparing this blog entry! Old Me would have had a meltdown and berated myself for the mistake. Psh! Not anymore. It is so much more freeing to laugh it off and move on.

You are so much more than the sum of your experiences! Make mistakes, and make adjustments. You have already gained so much wisdom in the few short years that you have spent on the planet, and there is more to be gained each day. Trust what you have learned about yourself, and what you have learned about your world.
