Mantra: I Am Healthy & I Am Whole! Every body is beautiful, worthy of love, and deserves care. “Healthy” does not show up in only one size, shape, age, ability, color, ethnicity, or gender. Remind yourself: I am healthy and I am whole. My body is healthy. My mind is healthy. My emotional self is healthy. I am whole and complete. I choose to take good care of myself every day. I choose to more my body to the best of my ability because it feels good. Pictured here is an incredibly lovely little girl named Caro (Carol). I met…

I do not ignore all that is broken and in need of repair. I choose to focus my attention on the many things in my life to be grateful for, and it makes every day that much richer. I gives me a thread of Beauty to hold onto, to pull me back up when everything else is tearing me down.

Days turn into weeks turn into months turn into years. What do we learn in our brief time on the wheel of life? I have learned I am more and more grateful for the little things, the niceties, the goodness of humanity. Little things matter, like “please” and “thank you”… Warm smiles and friendly waves go a long way… Kindness is beautiful… Well chosen words and sincere compliments can mend hurt feelings… And love, LOVE- always wins.

Today I’m reminded of the mantras of Blessing #4: I Am A Good Person Truth is, being a Good Person is a choice, or rather a series of little but vital choices we make every day. My parents [rest in peace <3] always reminded me that I’m a Dreamer. Sometimes it was said as a compliment, but not usually. I didn’t care, because I always knew it to be true and never saw it as a negative quality. I think it’s part of my magic. In the wake of the most recent acts of terrorism and the following waves of hatred, fear, intolerance and increased ethnocentrism around the globe- I have to Dream. I have to Dream of a better world. I have to Dream of people from all walks of life, just living day by…

Mantra: Be Here Now My friend Mikey and I used to share the phrase “be here now” with each other as a gentle reminder to focus on the Now instead of getting swept up in rehashing the Past, or paralyzed by fearing the what-if’s of the Future. Just Be Present. Just Be Here Now. If even for just that moment of looking at a text message sent from a friend, we could push pause and put the chaos at bay, no matter where we were at or what was going on around us. And if I recall well, there was…
