Hey Loves, next in my series of gentle meditations for/prayers to my Body, i spent some time recognizing and accepting my many emotions:

“Dear Emotions, Thank You for all of the ways you allow me to experience Life. Please forgive me for pushing you away. I am no longer afraid to feel. I love you.”

Man or Woman, an incredible amount of energy is put into trying to push down, hide, run away from or otherwise be embarrassed by our emotions. And yet, they are one of the most powerful connections we have to Spirit, Self, and each other!

You are allowed to FEEL. You are allowed to feel ANYTHING. Those emotions are vital, valuable, and powerful guides that can help you to heal your deepest soul-wounds. 💖🦋

Stretch the boundaries of all that you think is possible for you to achieve, and in so stretching you will elevate yourself out of your small space of comfort, where you can harness your furthest goals and ride your wildest dreams!

#FridayFeels Shutting Down (in a good way)

I could blame Mercury. I might call it Murphy’s Law. I could get pissed off and focus on all of the things that didn’t happen they way I expected them to. I could wear a bad mood like a badge of honor, dripping with sarcasm and bristling with angerrrrrr. But, NOPE. There’s a better way.

All of those are options, but instead I’m going to take a break and get centered again. I’m going to get quiet and listen to the still, small voice inside that speaks Love and Truth. I’m going to laugh out LOUD at the ridiculousness of the signs that have popped up in my life this week, all of which are pointing me back to a place of rest and peace and self-healing. You can get annoyed at the signs, or you can read them. Hell, you can do both! So, which signs are you ignoring and what do you need to pay more attention to?

I might still give Mercury the side eye, though.

Just Let That Sh!t Go

We all experience the so-called “negative” emotions such as Sadness, Anger, and Fear throughout our lives as a result of experiencing unpleasant circumstances or even traumatic events. It’s OK to feel these, and it’s important to express them in healthy ways. It’s when we avoid feeling them and resist expressing them that we develop Emotional Constipation, and the shitty feelings begin to pile up and block our ability to fully enjoy life.

Sadness untreated slips into Depression. Anger left untended turns into Rage. Fear left to fester turns into Phobia, and can further devolve into Hate.

The path back to peacefulness is available to all, but it requires you to travel lightly upon it. Unburden yourself bit by bit from the lingering pains of the past and step forward into a journey of self-discovery, healing, and joy! You are free to make new choices each day and you are free to just let that shit go!

FUN FACT: I’ve worked my whole life on addressing my control-freak tendencies, but for as far as I’ve come in releasing my Kung Fu grip there is always another life lesson for me in the art of letting shit go.

Even though I practice regular “clearing” it is amazing to me how much stuff I still manage to cling to… from trinkets and knick-knacks gathering dust to outdated beliefs that seek to hold me down.

Today, I encourage you to take a step forward with me in releasing, in allowing, in letting go. What is one area of your life where you can Relax and Let Life Flow?

#FridayFeels Ready For Relaxing

Oh man, I sure do love how Friday feels! Even when I have work or other projects lined up for the weekend, something about a Friday afternoon just feels so relaxing and inviting. 

Ease yourself into the slower pace that weekends can bring. Plan a special mini-adventure of tea sipping, window shopping, flower smelling, beach bumming, star gazing or whatever you especially enjoy that takes you away from the daily grind for a couple of hours. Relax, you deserve it!

Stop Criticizing Yourself

Behind every harsh self-criticism is a tender soul who just wants to feel supported. You, Dear One, have heard more than your fair share of criticism throughout your life, and it’s time you put a stop to it. Instead of being your own worst critic, become your own biggest ally. Abandon the nit-picking and instead offer yourself the grace you’d gladly give to your very best friend!

I want you to realize that you are no longer bound to impossible standards of perfection, no matter what that nagging voice from the past may say. You, Dear One, were created as whole and beautiful and strong and perfect already. Own it! Heaven looks at you daily and smiles like a proud parent. Release the reigns that you have been holding so tightly to and allow yourself to be free, make mistakes, and simply do the best that you can. After all, self discovery begins when self criticism ends.

What if, each day, you made the conscious choice to focus on what makes you happy? By directing your thoughts, your intentions, your energy towards the positive pursuit of your own happiness, you will create a powerful shift that ignites your spirit and fills your life with Light and Joy! Take the time to get to know YOU by trying new things and becoming a master at the things you already enjoy.

You aren’t pretending that hard things aren’t also part of your world, rather you are building reserves of strength and banking cherished memories that can buoy you on the harder days. Spending even as little as 10 minutes a day doing something you love can make a difference in your outlook and improve your mental health. Let yourself enjoy life despite any challenges that come your way. You deserve to be Happy!
